[on Gary Cooper] Naturally I never took my eyes off him during the first few weeks of shooting. He was the ideal movie actor. There was something unassailable about him, a dignity which he never lost even in the most commonplace pictures.
During shooting for her first German movie "Feuerwerk" in 1954 she would repeatedly start to talk in English and forget the correct German terms for certain words such as "wig" and "cameraman" as she hadn`t been in Germany for over 20 years.
Returned to Germany in 1954, where she became one of the biggest post war stars.
