Wesley Snipes has been released from a federal prison in Pennsylvania.
Snipes was convicted in 2008 on tax charges.
He was released Tuesday. A Bureau of Corrections spokeswoman said Friday he'll be overseen by the New York Community Corrections Office until July 19.
The 50-year-old actor has appeared in dozens of films, from "White Men Can't Jump" and "Demolition Man" in the early 1990s to the blockbuster "Blade" trilogy

U.S. media reported was that Wesley Snipes has requested annulment court ruling of 2008. The actor was sentenced to three years in prison but came out on bail, which amounted to several million dollars. The prison was hit as soon as the judge found him guilty of tax evasion for five years from 1998. Have accumulated to about 2.7 million dollars. I never really planned on making action films. It just kind of happened.
