Jerome Abram Bettis Sr. (born February 16, 1972), nicknamed "The Bus," is a former American football halfback who played for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). Bettis is sixth on the list of NFL rushing yards leaders. The first year, you`re a fish out of water; you have no idea of the offense. Year two, you know the offense, you`re comfortable. Now you can see the confidence come out, so now you see an athlete look like a totally different football player because they`ve got confidence, they`re playing with authority and they understand where they need to be. So it`s not so much that they get better in terms of talent, but you can see the talent.
