Trace Adkins's bad year is getting even worse – his wife has filed for divorce.
The country singer's wife of 16 years, Rhonda, filed papers in Tennessee on Tuesday, citing "irreconcilable differences," WSMV reports.
Rhonda is asking for primary custody of the couple's three daughters – MacKenzie, Brianna and Trinity – and for Adkins, 52, to pay child support, alimony and all her legal fees.

Danica Patrick is taking a detour from the racetrack to the awards show stage.
The NASCAR star, 31, is teaming up with Trace Adkins, 51, to host the American Country Awards – which he has emceed for the last four years, co-hosted last year by Kristin Chenoweth.
Airing live on Fox on Dec. 10, the show will take place at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas.

Two men died this morning when their pickup truck collided with one of Trace Adkins` tour buses near Shreveport, La., according to CMT.com. Adkins was not on the bus, but five members of his band and crew sustained minor injuries. The bus was on its way to a concert Adkins was doing with Martina McBride and Sarah Buxton in Bossier City, La. The pickup truck was traveling north on U.S. 71 when it crossed the center line and ran head on into the southbound bus. The truck`s driver and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
