Bing Sings Whilst Bregman Swings (1963)

Bing Sings Whilst Bregman Swings was Bing Crosby's sixth LP and his first album for Verve, recorded and originally released in 1956.

My golf is woeful but I will never surrender.

[on his phenomenally successful single "White Christmas"] A jackdaw with a cleft palate could have sung it successfully.

Stagecoach (1966) was his last major film. Though it did not get good reviews, his performance as the drunken doctor was praised. Crosby felt the movies had changed a lot since his heyday, although he let it be known that he was still open to offers.

In 1969, it was reported that he was worth an estimated $75 million.

John - Bing is the greatest entertainer of all time. When you consider his versatility - singing in a variety of genres, there is no one who comes even close to him. For example, can you imagine any other crooner who could sing country and western like he could. No way! And nobody, repeat, NOBODY, could sing the American popular standard like him, and nobody could put across the sense of loss and absence the way he did. Listen to Since You Went Away and When Day is Done, as examples. And he sang with other performers like no one else could. I could go on and on, but let`s end it here. (6 years ago)
