Ahmet Kaya (28 October 1957 – 16 November 2000) was a Kurdish singer from Malatya, Turkey, who died on 16 November 2000 in exile in Paris. He sang in Turkish, Azerbaijani and Kurdish. He identified as Kurd of Turkey, for which he was made an outcast in Turkey, and performed concerts for the PKK and the MLKP. Some of his most popular songs include Ayrılık Vakti, Söyle, Ağladıkça, Oy Benim Canım, Birazdan Kudurur Deniz, Arka Mahalle, Kum Gibi, Nereden Bileceksiniz, Hani Benim Gençliğim, Yakarım Geceleri and Şafak Türküsü.
