Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are actively trying to save their marriage ... so says Danny.
DeVito revealed the status of his 30-year marriage at an event in L.A. this week -- after "Extra" correspondent Jerry Penacoli asked how he was adjusting to life as a single man.

Actor Danny DeVito and actress Rhea Perlman have separated after more than 30 years of marriage, ET has learned.
The couple's rep, Stan Rosenfield, confirmed the news to ET.
The pair, who married in January of 1982, have three children together -- daughters Lucy, 29 and Grace, 27, and son Jacob, 24.
