"You can be sure - if it`s Westinghouse."

In the 1950s, during a live TV commercial for Westinghouse, Furness was about to demonstrate a refrigerator but something went wrong and the door got stuck and wouldn`t open. Always the cool-headed professional She endured an extreme close-up as the camera swooped in toward her. The camera was so close you could see its shadow on her face! While calmly continuing to extol the virtues of the appliance, someone off-camera is obviously struggling and shaking the refrigerator trying to get its door open. The door finally comes unstuck and the camera then sweeps back to a wider view as Betty goes right on with her demonstration and finishes the commercial as though nothing out of the ordinary ever happened.
